Touchstone is a single-user, local-first new-tab dashboard. Nothing you write here leaves your computer.

What stays on your device

Every entry you make — notes, intentions, gratitude, todos, habits, mood, wins, decisions, countdowns, sleep, water, movement, reading log, rejection therapy log, quick links, layout preferences, theme — is saved in your browser's local storage on this computer.

None of this data is sent to any server. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking.

What is fetched from the internet

Three modules pull read-only public content. None of these requests include any of your personal data — only the date.

→ Wikipedia article of the day Anonymous request to en.wikipedia.org for today's featured article.
→ On This Day Anonymous request to en.wikipedia.org for historical events on today's date.
→ Quote of the day Quotes are bundled inside the extension itself — no network request.

If you remove these modules from your dashboard, the extension makes no network requests at all.

How to clear your data

Removing a module from the dashboard wipes that module's data immediately and permanently. To wipe everything at once, go to chrome://settings/cookies, search for the extension, and clear its storage — or uninstall the extension.

Touchstone stores everything in localStorage scoped to the extension. Local storage is not synced across devices and not shared with any other site or extension.
